In 1941, Manor Street connected Oldpark Road and Cliftonville Road, running through an area of North Belfast that sustained heavy damage in the Blitz.
The following died here as a result of enemy action during the Belfast Blitz.

James Balmer died at his home at 172 Manor Street, Belfast on 16th April 1941 as the Luftwaffe dropped bombs across the north of the city in the Easter Raid.
Civilian Margaret Eileen Williamson Beech died on 16th April 1941 during the Easter Raid of the Belfast Blitz as Luftwaffe bombs fell on Manor Street.
