In 1941, Southport Street led off Manor Street in the Oldpark area of North Belfast where Luftwaffe bombs caused a large amount of destruction in the Blitz.
The following died here as a result of enemy action during the Belfast Blitz.

Mary Black lived and worked as a grocer on the corner of Southport Street and Manor Street when the Luftwaffe attacked the city of Belfast in April 1941.
