Civilian Albert Close was a fatal casualty of the Belfast Blitz during the Second World War. He lived with his parents William Close Sr. and Mary Jane Close at 35 Westbourne Street, Belfast at the time of the Luftwaffe attack on the city.
He was the brother of William Close Jr. of 21 Westbourne Street, Belfast. Albert Close died on 5th May 1941 aged 29 years old at 35 Westbourne Street, Belfast. Albert Close’s grave is with his mother Mary Jane Close in Section F2, Grave 83 of Dundonald Cemetery, Dundonald, Co. Down. A funeral service took place on 10th May 1941.
