Civilian Alexander Aicken was a fatal casualty of the Belfast Blitz during the Second World War. He lived at 107 Mervue Street, Belfast at the time of the Luftwaffe attack on the city.
The 1911 Irish Census shows Alexander living at 107 Mervue Street, Belfast with his father James Aicken, older brother Robert Aicken, and younger sister Hannah Aicken. The census indicated that James Aicken and Sarah Aicken married 15 years earlier suggesting that she may not be Alexander’s mother.
Alexander Aicken died on 21st April 1941 aged 56 years old at Union Infirmary, Belfast.
