Civilian Jessie Boyd was a fatal casualty of the Belfast Blitz during the Second World War. She lived with her parents Alexander Boyd and Mary Boyd at 38 Upper Meadow Street, Belfast at the time of the Luftwaffe attack on the city.
Jessie Boyd died on 16th April 1941 aged 21 years old at the Public Air Raid Shelter on Atlantic Avenue, Belfast. Jessie Boyd’s grave is in Carnmoney Cemetery, Carnmoney, Co. Antrim. A funeral service took place at 1430hrs on 21st April 1941 from 38 Upper Meadow Street, Belfast.
