Joseph Carter Sr. was one of seven members of the family to die as a result of Luftwaffe bombing on Dock Street during the Easter Raid of the Belfast Blitz.
Civilian Joseph Carter Sr. was a fatal casualty of the Belfast Blitz during the Second World War. He lived with his wife Mary Ann Carter, daughters Alice Carter, Sarah Carter, Kathleen Carter and Mary Carter, and son Joseph Carter Jr. at 13 Dock Street, Belfast at the time of the Luftwaffe attack on the city.
Joseph Carter Sr. died on 16th April 1941 aged 45 years old at 13 Dock Street, Belfast.
