Civilian Margaret Sylvia Christy was a fatal casualty of the Belfast Blitz during the Second World War. She lived with her parents James Christy and Margaret Christy at 17 Hogarth Street, Belfast at the time of the Luftwaffe attack on the city.
Margaret Sylvia Christy died on 16th April 1941 aged 4 years old at Hogarth Street, Belfast. The family name is spelled “Christie” in the Belfast Telegraph issued on 18th April 1941. Margaret Sylvia Christy’s grave is in Carnmoney Cemetery, Carnmoney, Co. Antrim. A funeral service took place at 1000hrs on 19th April 1941 from 30 Fortwilliam Crescent, Belfast.
