Able Seaman Samuel Corry (D/SSX 17718) was a fatal casualty of the Belfast Blitz during the Second World War. He lived with his wife Martha Corry, and daughter Elizabeth Corry at 53 Joseph Street at the time of the Luftwaffe attack on the city.
Corry served in the Royal Navy on H.M.S. Quebec. Samuel Corry died on 16th April 1941 aged 26 years old at the Public Air Raid Shelter on Percy Street, Belfast. Samuel Corry’s grave is in Glenalina Extension, Section T1, Grave 139 of Belfast City Cemetery, Belfast.
