Civilian William McDowell was a fatal casualty of the Belfast Blitz during the Second World War. He lived with his wife Mary McDowell at 20 Ballyclare Street, Belfast at the time of the Luftwaffe attack on the city.
He was the son of John McDowell and Mary McDowell of 3 Ballycarry Street, Belfast. William McDowell died on 16th April 1941 aged 30 years old at 20 Ballyclare Street, Belfast.
