7th April 2020
The Docks Raid of the Belfast Blitz took place on the night of 7th April 1941. The Luftwaffe caused damage to the shipyards and surrounding industry.
15th April 2020
The Easter Raid of the Belfast Blitz took place on the night of 15th April 1941. Luftwaffe bombers left more than 900 dead and thousands more homeless.
4th May 2020
The Fire Raid of the Belfast Blitz took place on the night of 4th May 1941. Luftwaffe bombers dropped thousands of incendiary bombs throughout the city.
5th May 2020
The Final Raid of the Belfast Blitz took place on the night of 5th May 1941. Luftwaffe crews surveyed the damage inflicted on the city as they flew over.
15th January 2021
Over 1,000 residents of Belfast and other areas of Co. Down and Co. Londonderry died as a result of enemy action during the Belfast Blitz of April and May 1941.
