Civilian Margaret Jane Brown was a fatal casualty of the Belfast Blitz during the Second World War. She lived at 35 Witham Street, Belfast at the time of the Luftwaffe attack on the city.
Margaret Jane Brown died on 9th May 1941 aged 62 years old at Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast. Margaret Jane Brown’s grave is in Section D1, Grave 459 of Dundonald Cemetery, Dundonald, Co. Down. A funeral service took place on 10th May 1941.
On the night of 4th-5th May 1941, during the Fire Raid of the Belfast Blitz, bombs fell on Witham Street in East Belfast killing and injuring several people.
