Martha Calder

Martha Calder lived in Barbour Street, Greencastle, Co. Antrim at the time of the Belfast Blitz. Her grave is in her home village of Tullylish, Co. Down.

Civilian Martha Calder was a fatal casualty of the Belfast Blitz during the Second World War. She lived with her husband George Calder at 29 Barbour Street, Greencastle, Co. Antrim at the time of the Luftwaffe attack on the city.

Martha Calder died on 18th April 1941 in Gilford, Co. Down. Martha Calder’s grave is in All Saints’ Parish Church, Tullylish, Co. Down. A funeral service took place at 1430hrs on 20th April 1941.
