Civilian Sarah Jane Boyd was a fatal casualty of the Belfast Blitz during the Second World War. She lived at 1C Carew Street, Belfast at the time of the Luftwaffe attack on the city.
She was the wife of the late Samuel Boyd. Sarah Jane Boyd died on 5th May 1941 aged 69 years old at 1C Carew Street, Belfast. Sarah Jane Boyd’s grave is in Section C1, Grave 375 of Dundonald Cemetery, Dundonald, Co. Down. A funeral service took place at 1500hrs on 8th May 1941 from Messrs. Melville and Co. Ltd., Townsend Street, Belfast.
Dundonald Cemetery in Co. Down is the resting place of many victims of the Belfast Blitz who died as a result of the Luftwaffe raids of April and May 1941.
