A.R.P. Warden Thomas Crone Bingham was a fatal casualty of the Belfast Blitz during the Second World War. He lived with his mother Elizabeth Bingham at 80 Isoline Street, Belfast at the time of the Luftwaffe attack on the city.
His father was the late Samuel Bingham. Thomas Crone Bingham died on 6th May 1941 aged 16 years old at Ravenscroft Avenue, Belfast. Thomas Crone Bingham’s grave is in Belfast City Cemetery, Belfast.
In 1941, Isoline Street in East Belfast was home to 16 year old Thomas Crone Bingham who volunteered as an Air Raid Precautions Warden in East Belfast.
Ravenscroft Avenue in East Belfast was a scene of devastation as a large explosion occurred on the night of 5th-6th May 1941, the Final Raid on the city.
